Process of Communication: Effective communication has a process. Firstly sender encode information and send this massage through channels then receiver decode it and accept, finally give feedback and it is the goal of effective communication.
Importance of Effective Communication: It is very important for our personal & professional life. Because we can share our ideas, opinions & feelings , get information from others & provide feedback .We can build up our social relationships and maintain our self-expression through it. We also can grow our confidence level and making friends through proper communication.
Channels of Communication: There are 3 V's of meaningful communication. It means Verbal (07%), Visual (55%) and Vocal (38%). Non Verbal Communication (93%) is the combination of visual and vocal communication.
We can communicate through speech, writing, listening, non verbal language, music, art ect.
Useful elements of good communication: Good communication needs some important elements like knowledge, participation on discussion, thoughts organization, body language ect. Being a good listener is also important for this.
Areas of Human Communication: It have many areas like intrapersonal & interpersonal communication, small group, organizational, public & mass communication. Intrapersonal means internal thoughts & language use of communicator and interpersonal means exchange of information between two or more people.
Barriers of Communication: There are many barriers of proper communication, such as * language barrier, *lack of information, * bad mood, * listening without empathy, * not understanding other needs, * unclear process, * chain of command, *large size of organization & geographical distance, *personal limitations, * human nature ect.
Finally we can say that, although effective communication have a lot of barriers but we can overcome it when we will be aware these of barriers and try to reduce their impact by continually checking understanding and by offering proper feedback and it will be helps us to create better connect with people in our personal and professional life. Also it helps us better understand a person or situation and enables us to resolve differences, build trust and respect.
